  A clean & pleasant restaurant that's been here for years. I forgot how good it was.
  
  We had the fried calamari as an app. It came with a warm marinara sauce and it was excellent; big tender rings and tentacles with a light batter. We also split the gnocchi bolognese and added 2 meatballs for $2. The gnocchi were soft and pillowy. The sauce was pretty good, with a slight aftertaste that I couldn't put my finger on. But the meatballs were soft and seasoned well. Also, they give fresh warm bread with an olive tapenade, which needed more salt.
  
  For desert we had the spumoni bomba. It's chocolate, pistachio, and spumoni ice cream in a chocolate shell, with raspberry sauce - Delicious. It's very similar to the one at C&O Italian, so it might be same supplier and it's worth it.
  
  The service was friendly, although they forgot about the outside for a bit, but it was a sleepy afternoon.

  Service is severely lacking. The staff is so apathetic that it takes away from any benefit derived from some of their good dishes.
  
  The last two visits have become increasingly disappointing, which is a pity as this was one of of my favorite go-to establishments in my neighborhood.
  
  I may just up ordering take-out going forward.

  The good: great gnocchi bar without going heavy on the truffle oil. Pleasant place to sit outside in the neighborhood. Nice fresh bread with olive tapenade.
  As a local, I was rooting for the re-opening to be spectacular and to visit this place often but, alas...
  
  The bad: the service. I'm an easygoing diner, but I've never really felt welcome here like I do in even less pricy restaurants on Montana. There's just a vibe of workers who are low caliber, disgruntled, and really don't want to be there. When I've visited, on several occasions, I've found the service to be inattentive and nowhere to be found when you want to order or ask for something. Another bummer, is that they refuse to take reservations on Monday night due to a half off happy hour that they claim draws lines crowds (um, no). Honestly, they wouldn't need to use these gimmicks to get people in the door if they just hired good help and provided decent  customer service. There's plenty of money in the neighborhood and people who don't need to buy food half off.
  
  The unacceptable: Having gone through illness where I've been at times bedridden, I rely on Postmates recently for which I pay a subscription. For some reason, Spumoni's can't seem to get their act together with inputting their complete menu on the app; dessert is missing, and so are any drinks. That aside, on several occasions, I've asked for bread, which they've left off. I called and asked them what I can do to make sure that bread is included in my order. I would even pay for bread if they bothered to put the option on there. The girl on the phone said that bread should automatically come with every order and that I should do nothing. I followed her directions, and the bread was not included. Next time, I called and explained the situation and the guy on the phone said that I should write it in the notes. I did, and it was left off again. Finally, on a third occasion, tonight, I called and and told the girl on the phone that I just placed a Postmates order and to please include bread, and I got a condescending lecture about how Postmates is a third party (um yeah, so?) and that next time she recommends using their delivery service (no thanks) and get this - that "it's the responsibility of my Postmates driver to make sure there's bread in the order" (??). Puzzled at why they make it so hard on the customer, I explained that I would like to use the Postmates app and not their delivery service, and that it's extremely hard to stay glued on the app at the precise moment that they assign a driver to my order, to then call him to tell him that these people often leave bread off the order, and to make sure that they include it. She continued to throw attitude instead of simply saying "ok I'll make sure bread is included." She continued to waste both our time just to be passive aggressive. Then when I explained that it isn't a great business practice to treat your customers this way, she hung up on me. The ordered arrived with three unusually sad slices of stale bread as a final eff you when I just bought a $25 pasta dish. I don't think I will ever go back.

  The service is excellent and food is delicious!.
  
  Spumoni is the place to go when you want something delicious and filling. Plus, I don't think I need to explain much.... The pictures do it's justice.

  This restaurant recently reopened due to a renovation. They expanded their size into the next door establishment.
  
  It is Italian cuisine and the food is delicious. Lots of different Italian dishes are available. The food is cooked with great ingredients and accompanied by delicious sauces. There is also parking located in the back.
  
  The veal is my favorite item and I highly recommend it! Also there used to be coupons for the restaurant in Valpak and I hope they bring them back because I havent seen them in awhile.
